It’s difficult to keep track of all the reckoning taking place across the world from individuals and firms which use technology to carry out what may be considered offensive. Alleged offensives’ because there really isn’t much law on the books to say “you cannot do that” in any clear way so what we’ve seen over the past few years is firms reaching into the unknown for gain guided only by their moral compass or lack thereof. Three such cases are extremely notable and are a foreshadowing of what is to come for the technology industry in terms of what to watch out for with users of a platform and how business is conducted in general. Each of these cases are cloaked with perceived offenses in #privacy, dis/misinformation, outright classic fraud masquerading as tech and more.
