Some time ago I set out to use analytics to gain followers. Not just any followers to increase the count but a focused and targeted look at specific people would would most likely benefit from the topics I hover around. The goal was to gain anywhere from 1000 to 1500 as the most likely number but in time, LinkedIn became more "social" and it seems now that number should be revised higher but nevertheless the original experiment yielded the proper results... 1000 focused followers.
